Karina Talamantes has built a remarkable 17-year career with Amsted Rail’s ASF-K division in Mexico, defined by continuous growth, dedication and an unwavering commitment to excellence. What began as an opportunity to join a global leader in the rail industry has become a deeply fulfilling professional journey centered on collaboration, community and innovation.
Before joining Amsted Rail, Karina honed her leadership and organizational skills through roles at Motor Coach Industries International and the Consulate General in Los Angeles. These experiences taught her to navigate complex intercultural environments and manage operations across borders. Drawn to Amsted Rail’s strong reputation for safety and efficiency, she joined the company in 2008, ready to take on new challenges in a dynamic, purpose-driven setting.

Throughout her career at Amsted Rail, Karina has demonstrated exceptional organizational and leadership abilities. Her attention to detail has been instrumental in coordinating high-level meetings, events and strategic initiatives that require careful planning, cross-departmental collaboration and discretion. One example she was particularly proud of was her role in planning the grand opening of Amsted Seals Mexico, a milestone that showcased Amsted Rail’s growth and innovation.
