Amsterdam / Chicago – [27 February, 2026] – Greenbrier Leasing Europe (GBXLE), a leading freight wagon leasing company and digital rail innovator, has partnered with Amsted Digital Solutions SAS (Amsted Digital) to launch a collaborative bogie monitoring initiative aimed at advancing condition-based maintenance across the European rail freight sector.
The initiative includes the installation of Amsted Digital’s IQ Series™ gateways on all new GBXLE fleet wagons. The IQ Series gateway is mounted directly on the bogie—a configuration unique in the industry—enabling GBXLE to receive critical information about wagon running gear, including wheel slide and wheel fault reports. In a second phase, the program will expand to include bearing diagnostics delivered through Amsted Digital’s over-the-air upgrade capability, eliminating the need for additional hardware retrofits or service interruptions.
