Amsted Rail transit product earns American Foundry Society’s Newcomer of the Year Award

Amsted Rail is thrilled to announce our GSI transit truck set has been recognized as Newcomer of the Year in the American Foundry Society’s 2024 Casting of the Year Competition. All winners were selected by a blue-ribbon panel of independent judges with expertise in metalcasting design and production.

The transit truck assemblies are manufactured at our plant in Granite City, Illinois. Amsted Rail is the only US provider of cast steel bogie designs with the in-house capability to provide the complete assembled bogie, fully validated with all product static and dynamic testing.

Amsted Rail and other category winners will be showcased on the sold-out exhibit floor at Metalcasting Congress 2024. The event runs April 23 – 25 at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with the show floor open on April 24 through noon April 25.
