Dear Mr. Shannon:

     Please refer to Mr. Mark States' letter of February 27, 2001 requesting AAR approval of an additional allotment of Brenco Thin Gap Seals.      

     I am pleased to inform you that the AAR's Wheels, Axles, Bearings and Lubrication Committee voted favorably on your request and granted an additional 4,000 car-set allotment.  Service reports and any additional requests should be handled in accordance with AAR Specification M-959 Appendix A.

    As with the conditional approval, application of Generation 2000 Roller Bearings to UIC and UniTruck 2 and 3 designs is prohibited.
