Subject:Revisions to Secondhand Axle Journal Diameter Tolerances

Circular Letter c-7643 issued on April 10, 1991 revised the secondhand roller bearing axle journal diameter tolerances in Section G-Part II, Figure 4.10. Subsequent to a continued review of a corresponding revision to the passenger axle tolerances as well as the measurement criteria for reparations to the journal, the Wheels, Axles, Bearings and Lubrication Subcommittee advanced further revisions to Figure 4.10 (copy on reverse side).

These revisions are effective immediately and should be inserted in Section G-Part II of the Manual of Standards and Recommended Practices.
