Subject: Revision to the Roller Bearing Manual
Section H, Part II, Manual of Standards
and Recommended Practices
TO THE MEMBERS AND PRIVATE CAR OWNERS

Effective May 1, 1985, Rule 3.22 of the Ninth Edition of the Roller Bearing Manual is revised to read as follows:

Rule 3.22
Rollers: The contact areas of roller must be inspected for any damage or defects per Rule 1.15 of this manual. Separable rollers must remain in matched bearing sets. All Brenco inner rings which were manufactured during the years 1978, 1979 and 1980 must be equipped with new rollers (see Rules 6.14a.5, 6.15 and 6.16). Those inner rings marked as remanufactured by Brenco subsequent to May 1, 1985, need not be equipped with new rollers unless rollers with damage or defects are noted during inspection.
